    Isaac Howard was born on 1 May 1785 at Hillsdale, Columbia Co., NY.1 He was the son of Enos Howard and Martha B. Soule.1 Isaac Howard lived at At one time, lived in, Duanesburg, Schenectady Co., NY.1 He married Catherine Coon in 1805; NY.1 Isaac Howard appeared on the census enumerated 11 November 1850 at Silver Lake, Susquehanna Co., PA, with Jesse W. Howard, Sarah Rebecca Howard and Angeline Howard living in the same household.2 Isaac Howard The 1860 US Census for Silver Lake, Susquehanna Co., PA tells the following story.

Isaac was age 76, widowed, b. NY and living in Susquehanna Co., PA with a large number of his family.

Phoebe (Howard) Tripp, his oldest daughter, age 50, is living there with him and probably the woman in charge of this large household. Phoebe has five of her eleven children living with her. They are: Levi, age 16; John, age 15; Isaac, 9; and the twins Julius and Julia, age 6. Also living in the home are Isaac's daughter Sarah Rebecca (listed as Sabrah R. Howard). She is 31 years of age and is a dressmaker. Isaac's daughter Catherine S., age 14 is l iving there. Another of Isaac's daughters, Mercy A. (Howard) Griffith, along with her husband and four children are living in the home. Mercy is 43; her husband Jonathan Griffith is 44 and a laborer who was b. PA. Their children are: William, 20 who is a bark peeler; Isaac 14; Sarah J., 10 and Catherine age 9.

The very next family listed on the census is that of Isaac's son, Ebenezer Howard, age 45, a lawyer b. PA. Ebenezer's wife Jane is 35 and she was b. NY. Their children: Allison, 18; Carolin, 16; Arthur who is

either 8 or 5(hard to read); William S. Howard, 2. All their children were born in Pennsylvania. Living next door to Ebenezer is his brother Jacob M. Howard, age 42, b. PA. Jacob is a carpenter. His wife is Eve M., age 40, b. NY. Their children are: Enos, 18; Julia, 16; Melissa A., 12; William, 6; Nelson J., 3; Myron E., age 3mos. old as of July 25, 1860 when census was taken.

From the information taken from the census and the knowledge that Isaac's son Enos was born in NY in 1811 and Jesse, his next son, was b. in Silver Lake, Susquehanna Co., PA, we know that Isaac and his family moved from NY between May 1811 and 1812 When Jesse was born. It was there he lived from then til his death, which to my knowledge, the date of his death has not yet been determined.1 He appeared on the census enumerated 25 July 1860 at Silver Lake, Susquehanna Co., PA, with Levi Tripp, John Tripp, Isaac V. Tripp, Julius Tripp, Julia Tripp, Catherine S. Howard, Jonathan Griffith, Sarah Rebecca Howard, Mercy Anne Howard and Phoebe S. Howard living in the same household.3 Isaac Howard died after 25 July 1860 at Silver Lake Township, Susquehanna Co., PA.1 He died before 1870 at PA.4
