Isaac Ziegler Kolb

Isaac was born c.1744. His burial place is unmarked but he died in Moore Twp. and is probably buried at the Settlement Mennonite Cemetery in Kreidersville.

There is considerable confusion about the two Isaac Kulp cousins, sons of brothers Isaac and Henry and grandsons of Jacob & Sarah (Van Sintern) Kolb. Many family trees have Isaac Kulp 1750-1828 as the son of Isaac & Gertrauta (Ziegler) Kolb but this is not correct according to the Kulp family genealogy.

The Isaac Kulp who died in 1828 is the proven husband of Rachel Jansen/Johnson of Gwynedd Twp. based on his estate records. This Isaac is #1240 in the Kulp Family History, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Cassel) Kulp. The children listed in his 1828 estate match the children of #1240 Isaac as provided in the Kulp Family History.

Isaac son of Isaac & Gertrauta is #1212 in the Kulp family history which shows him as being born between Michael (1739) and Elizabeth (1748) so therefore born c.1744. This Isaac died in Moore Twp. in 1819 - his will was probated in Northampton Co. on 7/6/1819. The children in his will match closely to the children listed for #1212 Isaac in the Kulp Family History. According to the Kulp Family History, this Isaac married Catharine Meyer (daughter of Peter Meyer of Springfield).
