About Isaac Laraway, Sr.
Isaac Larroway Sr was a Loyalist during the American War of Independence and served in the 2nd Battalion King's Royal Regiment of New York. After the war he and his family exiled into Ontario. Though his decedents eventually worked their way back down into NY.
His mother's family, the Van Alstynes, were Revolutionaries and George Washington reportedly slept at the Van Alstyne house on August 1, 1783.
