Isaac was made a Freeman Aug 30, 1698. It is interesting to note that the sons of Isaac Van Deursen decided to spell their names differently. For whatever reason, Isaac kept the traditional spelling of Van Deursen, while Shadrach took the spelling Van Duzer.
