My grandmother's maiden name was BACHRACH, Minnie or Mindel. The name she came in under was FIEDLER, FIDLER, Hyman. He was a carpenter or Stoller. Born I believe in the province of Grodno, town of Lomza. His father's name was MOISHE. There is a son Rubin, born in Krynki, from Minnie Fielder, and he came with them. Also my mother, Rivka Fagel.
There is an Isaac BACHRACH, who was born in Zembrov. I think a brother. He entered the U.S. in March 1, 1903 at N.Y. on the ship Pennsylvania. The fire that I had mentioned early on was called the "Monroe St. Fire, which occurred on December 31, 1913. There were family who had died in that fire, namely Yetta Wilkowitz, Lewin (Yehudi, 15), a and Barnet (Dov, 17) Bachrach. But the name Wilkowitz is for another time to talk about, if you wish to hear about it. That was a big garment fire in NYC. Lots of people were killed. Minnie (Mindel's) Bachrach's father's name was SHMUEL TEVYE BEN (DOV?) BACHRACH. Her mother's name was BLUMEH BAS NUFTULI. Minnie's father was a Schocut (ritual slaughterer). Very pious person. Minnie Bachrach's older sister was GRUNCH BACHRACH. And when she came to the U.S. I do not know, but probably before they did. She married in the U.S..
According to Richard Ellis Bachrach, 19-Nov-2019: My grandfather Isaac Bachrach was born in Byalystok area in 1876. He came to USA in 1907. I cannot believe he had no siblings!. I know his marriage to Miriam Pnititski from Krynki was registered in Beristivce , Belarus.
