Isadore Alexander Lardie

Isadore A. Lardie, 74, of Traverse City, died Sunday morning at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City.

     He was born in Traverse City on June 6, 1927, the son of Isadore A. and Elizabeth (Zoulek) Lardie. On Dec. 26, 1970 in Charlevoix, he married the former Irene B. Winowiecki, who survives.

     Mr. Lardie worked as a machinist for Stromberg-Carlson for many years, and also enjoyed farming. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Cherry Capital CB Club.

     In addition to his wife, Irene, he is survived by his daughters, Irene Lardie of Traverse City, Joana (Guy) Aldridge of Fife Lake and Carol (Bill) Irvine of Traverse City; son, John Lardie; stepdaughters, Sandra Blouch of Interlochen and Mary (Ray) Page of Petoskey; stepson, Charles (Mary) Mitchell of Charlevoix; sister, Maritta (Gene) Ghering; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marie Rosanna Sandee Lardie; two brothers, Robert Lardie and John C. Lardie; sisters, Irene Giles, Dorothy Bellows, Gertrude VanHorn, Claribelle Dugan and Anna Lou Milks.

     Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m.

     A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father William Lipscomb serving as celebrant. Burial will be in the spring at Ogdensburg Cemetery in Peninsula Township.
