Dr. Issac H. Hague received his elementary education in his native county (Homes Co. was his birth county jn), and his classical education at Hirum College, Portage Co. Ohio. (President of college was James Harrison when the Dr. attended Hiram College). He studied medicine with Dr. Joel Pomereue of Millersburgh, Ohio and attended courses of lecture in Cleveland, Ohio at Wooster University where he graduated in1868 and in 1876 he took a special course at Bellevue Medical College in New York. During the War the Doctor enlisted in Company G. One Hundred and Second Ohio Volunteer Infantry, returning home at its close. In 1864, during the term of his enlistment, he married Rebecca, daughter of James Williams, of Holmes County, Ohio and at his return from the army he located for a time in Millersburgh; then he began a practice of medicine in Nashville, removing to Shreve in 1877, where he has been engaged successfully in his profession. Five children: Ellis B. Jennie Hague Charles (married I.C. Charles of Lucas, Richland, Co., Ohio); Virga L. Hague; Estella D. Hague; James Harrison Garfield Hague. The Doctor and his wife are members of the Disciples Church; in politics he is a Republican.
