About Iver Øfsti

Iver emigrated to the US two times. The first time he managed a restaurant in Clondyke, Alaska. Next time he travelled like his sisters to St.Paul, Minnesota. Here he managed a saloon, a manufacturing business for around 10 years. Totally he stayed in thje US for around 20 years before he went back to the Øfsti farm in Nord Trøndelag, Norway. His father Daniel became very ill, and Iver then took over the farm. He married Mali Dybvad which worked as a servanmt on the farm. The years in the US he sppent together with Mali's brother (probably both in Alaska and in Minnesota).
