J. Henry Lefkowitz

"Henry was a beloved father and grandfather, and a patient, caring husband. He gave of himself to everyone. He gave his wife loving care through her many years of illness. He brought his four children up, giving love, understanding, and complete support. He gave his grandchildren his time, his patience, and loving concern; they still remember the Bible stories he told them and how easy he made it to understand them; they remember the pastries he was always buying for everyone, although he couldn't eat them himself. In the days of the Maxwell, Paige, Chalmers, and early Chrysler autos, Henry was the auto parts expert in the area. He was also known throughout the community as the perennial secretary of his two lodges. His mind and his spirit never grew old. Riding with his grandson, Milt, on his motor scooter was in keeping with his zest for living."
