Johanna Maria Mathiesen

I, Sonja Helene Mathiesen Sørli grew up om Teian. Glein, Nordland Norway. Johanna Marie Mathiesen was born on this farm there . She was my maternal mother's aunt. Also my grandfather's sister. Through the years she became every generations favorite aunt Maja <3 She was born and died on Teian, Glein. She never married. She was very talented in sowing, veaving and embrodery. She won contests in this. She however stayed home and was the caretaker for her father Martin Albert Mathiesen until he died at the age of 92. I still have things she embrodered and also her wonderful last letters written to me when I was 16 years old. She was a remarkable kind woman and she loved us all . She died at the age of 70 years old at Sandnessjøen Hospital, North Norway .
