About 'Jack' John Patrick O'Neill
Landing on Gallipoli with the First Expeditionary Force, Captain J. P. O'Neill has been on service ever since, and has been awarded the Military Cross for his work in France.
He is a son of Mr. Edward O'Neill, of the Mines department, and a nephew of the late Mr. Richard O'Neill, M.L.A., of Bendigo.
He enlisted at Kalgoorlie as a private, and was wounded. Later on he received his commission on Gallipoli.
He received his second wound in France, but has now returned to the front for the third time.
