About Jacob Adam Borski

Stevens Point Daily Journal, Stevens Point, WI September 2, 1953 A native and resident of Stevens Point and Portage county most of his life, Jacob A. Borski, 67, Beloit, died at Beloit Municipal hospital Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. He entered the hospital only 15 minutes before his death. Mr. Borski had been in poor health for three days before at his home and became seriously ill shortly before he was rushed to the hospital. Until this time, he was in apparent good health. He was born May 1, 1886, in the town of Hull, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Borski. He spent his boyhood on the family farm in Hull and received his education at St. Peter's school. On Oct. 26, 1907, he was married to the former Pauline Danielski of Hull and the couple made their home in Stevens Point afterward. Mr. Borski was at first a carpenter by trade and later became a general contractor. He went to Beloit about 15 years ago and took up employment with Fairbanks-Morse company. Mr. Borski was injured in an accident five years ago and since had been in semi-retirement. Surviving are his wife, 1603 Main street; three children, Adolph, 401 Franklin street, Mrs. Harold Lev, Sheboygan, and Ernest, Beloit; seven grandchildren; five brothers, John, Wausau, Frank, in Michigan, August, Hull, Joseph, 1302 College avenue, and Leo, Stevens Point, and one sister, Mrs. Ladislaus Glinski, 351 Fourth avenue. He was preceded in death by a son. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Stanislaus' Catholic church, with burial to follow in Guardian Angel cemetery. Friends may call at the Dzikoski funeral home from Thursday afternoon until the time of services. General rosaries will be said there Thursday and Friday evenings at 7:30 o'clock. Stevens Point Daily Journal September 10, 1953 Funeral services for Jacob A. Borski of Beloit were conducted at 9 o'clock last Saturday morning at St. Stanislaus' Catholic church. Rev. Leo Trojanowski officiated at the church and at committal services in Guardian Angel cemetery. Mr. Borski died at Beloit Municipal hospital the previous Tuesday. The pallbearers, all nephews, were Robert, Edmund, Adolph, Jr., Stanley, and Vern Borski and Joseph Glinski. Attending the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Borski, Dagget, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. John Borski, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lev and family, Sheboygan Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lund, Antigo; Mrs. Albert Zinda and daughter, Milwaukee, and other relatives and friends from Stevens Point and this vicinity.
