About Jacob Eichholtz
Obituary:
Jacob Eichholtz was born in York County, Pennsylvania, September 27, 1847 adn died at his home on Oklahoma County, Oklahoma after an illness of five days on May 27, 1914 at the age of 66 years and 8 months.
Jacob was a member of the German Reform Church from infancy.
He was married at the age of thirty-two to Racheal Blazer in Darke County, Ohio. Seven children were the result of this untion, six girls and one boy of which five girls are living. Two, Edith and Viola with their parents, three having married. Mrs. Ida Milliron of Perry, Oklahoma, Mrs. Dora Houser and Mrs. Eva E. Watson, both of payne, Ohio, the former home of Mr. and Mrs, Eichholtz. He also leaves two brothers in Ohio and one sister in Oklahoma.
Mr. Eichholtz lived in Ohio in wich state all of his children were born until 1901, moving on a farm in Oklahoma County and remained there until his death.
A card of thanks is extended to all our neighbors and friends who have been with us during the illnes of our father. He is gone, but not forgotton.
Rachel & Jacob also raised a boy, Sherman GIBSON, who was left with them. He was awarded $1 in the final will but still remained part of his family. He had a fire shop and Mechanic in Oklahoma City. Eusebia Tole stayed with them to attend the 9th grade & called her Aunt Kate per Mary E. Jennings.
