Jacob Pindall, who served in the Revolution, was the son of Philip Pindall, Captain in the Revolution. He married Hannah Roberts Chipps. He was the father of two daughters, Elizabeth (m. Philip Coombs) and Joanna (m. William Lowman). Both Jacob and his father are reported as having been buried in the Wiseman Cemetery, Monongalia County. A part of Monongalia County helped form Marion, and a part of Marian helped form Taylor County. There is a government marker in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Taylor County for Philip Pindall.
