Jakov AKA Zak Jakov

Žak Biti Jakov, born in 1881 in Šabac, significantly contributed to the progress of his native city. He surpassed the success of his father and became a real industrialist, the first manufacturer of soap and aromatic hand soaps, and thus he became the forerunner for the chemical industry in Šabac. After his father’s death, he registered the factory for manufacturing soap in his name, and the registry of craft shops testifies that he started as a producer of soaps on 17 December 1909
