A pedigree published by FamilySearch has suggested that James Anderson, here treated, is the son of William Anderson and his wife Sarah Ross, who were resident in Glasgow, 1685-1702, FamilySearch: James Anderson but a record of birth or baptism has not been found for him and proof of the relationship proposed is not offered by the author.
