Mr. James R. 'Tom' Bowling, 49, passed away early Monday, March 29, 2010, at the Hock Family Pavilion. Mr. Bowling was born July 31, 1960 in Durham Co., the son of Willis and Frances Ellis Bowling.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Houston Ellis and Annie T. Ellis; and his paternal grandparents, Norman Bowling and Eula Taylor Bowling.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowling is survived by two brothers, Jimmie Williford and wife, Angela, and William 'Pete Williford and wife, Connie; and his three children, Alfred James Bowling (Kristen Baker), Jessica Karen Bowling and Katie Ann Bowling; and three grandchildren, Kylie Bowling, Johnathon James Bowling and Zander Bowling.
