- Sir James Campbell, 2nd Laird of Lawers was born at of Lawers, Perthshire, Scotland.1,2 He married Marian (Mariota) Forrester, daughter of Sir Walter Forrester, 7th Laird of Torwood, 2nd Laird of Garden and Agnes Graham, before 1517 at of Torwood, Stirlingshire, Scotland.2 Sir James Campbell, 2nd Laird of Lawers married Janet Gray, daughter of Andrew Gray, 2nd Lord Gray, Sheriff of Forfar, Justice of Scotland and Elizabeth Stewart, circa 1530.1,4 Sir James Campbell, 2nd Laird of Lawers died on 12 February 1562.3

- James Campbell, 2nd of Lawers was the son of John Campbell, 1st of Lawers and Agnes Moncreiff.1,2 He married, firstly, Marion Forrester, daughter of Sir Walter Forrester, 7th of Torwood, 2nd of Garden and Agnes Graham.1 He married, thirdly, Isobel Hay.1 He married, secondly, Janet Gray, daughter of Andrew Gray, 2nd Lord Gray and Janet Keith, circa 1530.1 He died on 12 February 1561/62.1
