About James Gordineer
James was born 1818 in Cortlandtown, Westchester, NY. He was married to Malinda Wood, daughter of William and Elizabeth ? Wood. He was a well known peddler in the Furnace Woods area and died October 8, 1896 due to complications from a broken femur. He had fallen out of his bed and broken his leg. Dr. Eldorus Demotte Lyon set the leg, but he was too weak to recover.
