Mr. J. C. Harrison, aged 76 years 3 months and 2 days, died at Morell's Mill of a complication of diseases on Monday July 19, 1915. For over 45 years he had been a member of the Methodist Church and those who knew him best - his neighbors - declared there was no better man in the county. During the war he served in Captain Sumner's Company, 32nd Tennessee Regiment and was wounded at Resaca, Georgia. After recovering from his wounds he returned to his command and stayed until the end of the war. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. A. Allison, burial at Shiloh. He is survived by 2 sons ,
J. W. and C. B. Harrison and 5 daughters, Mrs. E. G. Bevels, Mrs. Mattie Bevels, Mrs. Jennie Eagin,
Mrs. J. T. West and Mrs. N. L. Mansfield.
