Note: pictured here appears to be his coat of arms. These arms as well as the arms attached to his male forebears' profiles have all been listed with this Harvey line of fathers and sons up to and including him - it is not clear whose arms belonged to whom. People considered acceptable as nobility were allowed to chose their arms with the Lord Lyons in Scotland (according to Keith Brown in 'Noble Society in Scotland'). These arms and some of the earlier ones have been associated with Harveys in other parts of the UK, though often without any evidence.
