James Randall Hoge, 65, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 1971 in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been seriously ill for the past several weeks.
He was born October 18, 1905 at Ten Mile Village, Washington County, a son of the late David J. and Clara Stewart Hoge, who resided many years near Oak Forest.
On September 1, 1931 he married Ruth Throckmorton Hoge, who survives.
Mr. Hoge was a graduate of Center Township High School, Rogersville, with the class of 1925, and atended Waynesburg College. For several years he was a teacher in Center Township and for the past 25 years he was self-employed as a concrete contractor.
He was a member of the First Christian Church at Waynesburg, the Loyal Partners Bible Class of the church, and held a life membership in Lodge 461, Loyal Order of the Moose, Waynesburg.
A brother, Glenn L. Hoge, is deceased.
