From Lynda Darby Ozinga:

We met Joann & Jimmy at a Loucks Familiy Re-union in 2001. We had such fun with them, we couldn't believe it. We laughed all weekend. Joann is a natural comedian & Jimmy has a beautiful voice & they both love people & it was just a ball meeting all the Loucks relatives, many of whom we were all meeting for the first time.

2 Years later in 2003 we planned to meet again & had another wonderful time. The re-union is the First Saturday in August each year in Gallipolis, Ohio, & it is a pot luck. The first time we had picked up Kentucky Fried Chicken, only to find Frank Loucks brought an oven & cooked chicken for everyone. The 2nd time we happened to be at Bob Evans for dinner the night before the re-union, & the smell of fresh peach pies wafted through the restaurant...that was our contribution to the pot-luck the next day.

After the re-union, on the way back to the hotel, I remarked to Joann that we should have checked to see if there was any pie left, we could breakfast on pie before leaving the next morning....great pie lovers must think alike because she was way ahead of me & had rescued about 1/2 a pie & put it in the car, it was our breakfast.

The next morning Jimmy & Joann came over to our motel room & we put the night stands together, & sat down to breakfast on our pie & motel coffee. Just after we had finished thanking the Lord for our TRULY WONDERFUL Peach Pie, Jimmy broke into song...what a mellow, beautiful bass voice he had...I wish I could hear it again, I have thought of it over & over again since that day. We all laughed & laughed until tears ran down our face & he kept on singing, knew every word to that old song!!! What fun we had with Jimmy & Joann!

Just around the corner

There's a rainbow in the sky

So let's have another cup o' coffee

And let's have another piece o' pie!

Trouble's just a bubble

And the clouds will soon roll by

So let's have another cup o' coffee

And let's have another piece o' pie

Let a smile be your umbrella

For it's just an April show'r

Even John D. Rockefeller

Is looking for the silver lining

Mister Herbert Hoover

Says that now's the time to buy

So let's have another cup o' coffee

And let's have another piece o' pie!
