"James Kyle was an early settler in Paxtang. He married _____ McArthur, daughter of Mrs. Mary McArthur (Died: 10/24/1742 and is buried in the Paxton Presbyterian Church cemetery in Dauphin County,PA). Thomas McArthur was the brother of Mrs. Kyle.
James Kyle's sister Mary married Andrew Galbraith of Cumberland County, brother of Bertram Gailbraith. James Kyle's children were: Thomas, a minister, Andrew, James, and daughter unknown."

1. James KYLE Sr. was born about 1663 in Tyrone Co., Ireland. He came to America before 1720, with 3 children (Robert remained in Ireland). He bought land in East Donegal, Lancaster, PA.
He died in 1735 in Lancaster Co., PA.
James KYLE Sr. had the following children, all born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland:
i. John KYLE.
ii. James KYLE Jr.
iii. Mary KYLE.
iv. Robert KYLE.
