"WELL KNOWN HIGH POINT FARMER DEAD – James A. Larason, a prominent farmer of near Mt. Moriah, died Sunday at his home. The funeral was held at the Goshen church Monday and was conducted by Rev. Seigel. Interment was in the cemetery nearby.
James Alonzo Larason was born in Mercer County, Nov. 20, 1854. He was married to Sedothia Melton. To this union 4 children were born. Those living are Wm. Larason of Maitland, Mo. and Leonard Larason of this county. He was a member of the M. P. church at High Point and was a faithful Christian. Besides his wife and children he is survived by two brothers and one sister. They are George Larason of the Adel neighborhood, Mitchel Larason, Great Bend, Kans., and Mrs. Nettie Burke of Los Angeles, California."
