James Murray of Broughton

Biographical Summary

"(418) James Murray of Broughton, died 20th April 1799 s.p.leg. He was M.P., Wigtownshire, 1762-68, and Kirkcudbright 1768-74. He was served heir to his father 19th March 1751. On 12th April 1752 he married Catherine Stewart, daughter of Alexander, sixth Earl of Galloway. He had a natural son : - (419) Alexander Murray of Broughton."
