12 September 1574: Charter a me by John Creichtone of Ruthwennis for implementing contract, dated at Dundie 27 Mar 1564, between the said John Creichtone and Elizabeth Creichtoun, his eldest daughter, on the one part and Alexander Ogilwy of Cloway and James Ogiluy, his son and heir apparent, on the other part, whereby said John grants to said James and Elizabeth, his spouse, in conjunct fee, the lands of Kirklandbank, to be held of the bishop of Dunkeld. 8 Febebruary 1589: Instrument of sasine following on charter in implement of contract of marriage, dated at Elycht 3 Sept 1588, between James Ogiluy of Clowa and James Ogiluy, his son and heir apparent on the one part and Andrew Hering of Glasclune, David Hering, his sons and heir apparent and on behalf of Jean Hering, daughter of said Andrew, on the other part, whereby said James Ogiluy of Clowa grants to said James, his son, and said Jean the towns and lands of Bastardbank, Reidlaikie, Muresyd, Petnacrie, Burnesyd and west quarter of Elycht, in conjunct fee and to said James Ogiluy the corn mill of Elycht and the rest of the lands of the town of Elycht; reserving to said James Ogiluy of Clowa and Elizabeth Creichtoun, his spouse, their liferent furth of the said lands not held in conjuct fee. 30 March 1594: Charter a me by James Ogiluy of Clouay following on contract of marriage, dated at Alyth 3 Dec 1588, between said James Ogiluy and James, his son and heir apparent, on the one part and Andrew Hering of Glasclun, David, his son and heir apparent and Jean, his daughter, on the other part. Whereby said James Ogiluy grants to his son the lands and barony of Cortuquhy, three-quarters of the lands of Inchewin, incorporated in the said barony of Cortuquhy and the towns and lands of Cloway comprising the lands of Kirktoun, Antibber, Ballinhard and Ballintyre, Bradowneis and Tullimulloquhy, and lands of Doill and Claylich with the mansion house of Cortoquhy and Clouay and mill of the same, to be held of the Crown; reserving always to himself and Elizabeth Crichtoun, his spouse, their liferents of the said lands.
