James Rynd of Broxmouth Ygr was born 1465 at Glamis, Angus, Scotland. He married Margaret Lyon 1495. Lady Margaret was then 28 years old. She had been married before, having eight children

On 10 June 1495, James Rynd, younger of Broxmouth was contracted in marriage to Margaret Lyon with a tocher of 400 merks.

James Rhynd is believed to be their only common child, born 1496,
