About James H. Taylor, I
- Reference: MyHeritage Family Trees - SmartCopy: Jan 4 2019, 5:15:52 UTC
James H. Taylor-- Died, on September 20th, at the residence of his son-in-law, F. C. Hardin in Lafferty township, James H. Taylor. He had been ill since June 12 of dropsy. Uncle Jim was 79 years of age and has been a citizen of Izard County 54 years. He leaves 6 children and a host of grand and great-grandchildren to mourn his death. He was born in Tennessee and moved to this county in 1855. Obeyed the gospel some 30 years ago and lived a consistent Christian life. His children will miss him as a father; his church will miss him as a member and helper and the community will miss him as a citizen. The body was laid to rest in the Nail Cemetery, funeral services being conducted by Mr J. E. Meeker. To the bereaved ones I would say weep not as those who have no hope. By his son-in-law, O. D. Pence. ~Calico Rock Progress 10/1/1914
