Helen Wetnight, 365 Holly Hill Road, Oldsmar, FL 34677who cites a handwritten 9 page document prepared by Katherine Mayes Thompson states he had lands rented of John Dunbar of Blantyre near Glasgow, at Syide for which he paid a yearly rent of one firlot of barley (a firlot of barley was 3,232 cubic inches, equalled fourth part of a boll. A boll of barley contained 6 bushels). James Thomson & wife granted on Sept. 11, 1566 to their son, Thomas Thomson, six oxgangs of earth in Syide (an oxgang was equivalent to 13 acres.)
