About James Alexander Turner
Added by Lorrie E, August 20, 2021: Ezekiel was listed on the marriage lines for James Alexander Turner. However, James mother was Ezekiel's daughter. Edmonica married William Jackson Chittum in 1837. James was born in 1829. James in not included in the will of William Jackson Chittum. He was listed on a census as a Chittum, however, went by Turner his entire life. James was a carpenter. James married Mary Teressa Sinnett, daughter of George and May Rexrode Sinnett, March 10, 1857. Only daughter born in West Virginia was Emma. Children were born to the marriage. James, his mother, wife, are buried in Madisonville Cemetery south of Center, Ralls County Missouri. Amazingly, I still have a ladder that James created for the farm. Should be tossed as one cannot climb it at all these days. All five daughters and 4 of the 10 sons reached adulthood.
