About James Walter Jolley
Mae Jolley was killed by a car on August 18, 1939 at the age of 52. She and Walter were walking to a birthday party when a car without headlights on hit them. Carrie was killed and Walter was paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life. He was 62 at the time it happened. J.W. died November 9, 1958 at Amarillo. He was buried at Paducah on November 11, 1958. Hack Hastings and Brother Stout preached the funeral. Songs sung were: "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and " Does Jesus Care?".
