James Warren 14, together with his parents, were members of James' Party of 60 Settlers on the Weymouth.

Party originated from Wiltshire.

Departed London, 7 January 1820. Arrived Table Bay, Cape Town on 16 April 1820. Final Port - Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth 15 May 1820.

Area Allocated to the Party : Bethany on the Lynedoch River - the location being known early as Bethany.

James Warren was a trader, and is recorded in December 1834 as trading at Maqomo’s near the Keiskamma River. James Warren was killed in the sixth Kaffir War in December 1834.
