John Klopotek
After undergoing intense suffering for several days with erycipelas (acute, infectious disease evidenced by a deep red inflammation of the skin) and complications, John Klopotek, a prominent farmer whose home was near the north line of Stockton township, passed away at 2:15 o'clock Monday afternoon.
He was brought to St. Michael's Hospital in this city the Saturday before, in the hope that the excellent care and attention given by the trained staff might prolong his life, but little or nothing could be done to relieve his condition. His wife, who is also very seriously ill, was brought to the hospital with her husband.
Mr. Klopotek was born in Stockton 53 years ago last January and lived there continuously. His parents were among the earliest settlers in that neighborhood and his mother, now 86 years of age, lives on the old homestead.
Deceased is also survived by six children. Peter, of Stockton; Mrs. Victor Lorbietski, of Rosholt; Edward, Laura, John and Tessie, at home. A brother and sister, Nick Klopotek and Mrs. John Lepak, live in Stockton, and another sister, Mrs. Jacob Somers, at Rosholt.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday morning at 8 o'clock, at Sacred Hearth Church, Polonia, with interment in the Parish cemetery. Members of St. Isador's society will attend in a body.
