Biography

Jean or Jane Craig (Jameson) was born in 1770 in Warwick Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Her parents were Deacon Robert Jamison, II and Hannah Jamison (Baird).

The will Hannah Jamison, widow of Robert, names daughter Jane, wife of Daniel Craig. Will dated 14 Apr 1815, Proved 8 Nov 1817.

She married Daniel Craig in February 1794. Daniel was the son of Thomas Craig and (a different) Jean Jameson.

Together they had the following children:

1. Eliza Getty (Craig);
2. Lewis Craig;
3. Jane Hannah Craig;
4. Harriet Craig;
5. Cynthia Craig;
6. Thomas Craig;
7. James Craig;
8. Joanna Craig.

She died in 1838 in Pennsylvania, USA and was buried in Neshaminy Cemetery, Hartsville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA. “ AE 66y” on her tombstone.
