Jan Jansen is listed as the father of Aeltje Jans b. 1655 in Brooklin (Brooklyn), New Netherland, who married Jan Blauw.[1] Aeltje is also documented as having a sister, Dinah. The year of Jan's death is unknown, but it is likely he was in the employ of the Dutch West India Company.
