About Jasmine Viel

Jasmine Viel is an Emmy award winning news anchor and reporter who has spent more than a decade working in television on the West Coast.

She anchored the award-winning CBS/FOX evening newscasts on the Central Coast with her husband for several years.

Together they produced and hosted shows on the road like traveling to the Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans and putting together nightly newscasts for a week.

She’s also covered major national news stories like the San Bruno pipeline explosion, the deadly shootings of two Santa Cruz police officers and while working in Arizona several Presidential visits to the border, which earned her recognition in the journalism field.

She’s appeared on various national news channels in her reporting since moving to Los Angeles, using social media to connect with viewers and share their personal stories and happenings around the Southland.

Jasmine grew up with her twin sister and younger sister in a small mountain town in Northern California and graduated from San Diego State University with a Journalism major and minor in Spanish.
