About Jazaniah Sumner
In 1690 a force of men was gathered from Dorchester MA to invade Canada during what is often called the King William's War. This ill fated expedition suffered many deaths from disease, lack of provisions, the weather and the fighting. Jazaniah was lost along with his brother Samuel and four of his Sumner cousins. He was the son of Roger and Mary (Josselyn) Sumner.
