He is listed under several surnames. Fray Angelico Chavez in his book " Origins of New Mexico Families, A Genealogy of the Spanish Colonial Period." Revised Edition. Published by The Museum Of New Mexico Press. ISBN 0-89013-239-9. Page 433, summarizes the information. I will list it verbatim. "SANSERMAN, Bautista Brison, a Frenchman of Canada, the son of Alexo Brison and Maria Luisa Chabon, married Maria Manuela Mondragon at Taos, Aug 14,1824 (B-38, Taos, M section). Known Children were: Jose Francisco, Mar 14,1825, when 'Brisol' is the Surname (ibid.); Jose Francisco Eugenio, Oct 7, 1827, when the father is designated as 'Sanserman' and a native of France (B-47,Taos); Juan Bautista, Aug 22, 1832, when the father is called 'Luis Sanserman' and the paternal grand parents are given as Luis Sanserman y Brisol and Ana Maria Sabot (M-48 Taos); Jose Antonio, Feb 17,1835, when the paternal grandparents are given as Jose Sanserman and Teresa Lobato (B-49, Taos); Maria Pacifica, May 6,1839,when the same grandparents are given as Jose Brigido Sanserman and Luisa Sarete (B-51, Taos); and Maria Donaciana, May 27, 1841,when the same are given as Jose Grisal and Maria Lobato (ibid.). One of the two elder sons, Jose Francisco, married Maria de Jesus Rodarte, Feb. 17,1845, when the surname is Brichal. (M-40,Taos)." From the book " Taos Marriages 1770-1860." "Bautista Brisor and Maria Manuela Mondragon, Taos, 11 May-18 June 1824. AHAD-380, f. 345-50. Bautista Brisor, 34, French, single a native of Canada, was the legitimate son of the late Alexos Brisor and Maria Luisa Chabot, a resident of Canada. Maria Manuela Mondragon, 17, Single, Espanola. a citizen of the Plaza of San Fernando in the Taos jurisdiction, was the legitimate daughter of Jose Antonio Mondragon and Maria Dolores Casados. Father Bellido questioned Bautista Brisor who stated that he was a Roman Catholic, a native of Canada, resident of the Plaza of San Fernando in the Taos jurisdiction. Witnesses: Pedro Buenamigo, 44, Roman Catholic, native of Canada, residents of the Plaza of San Fernando, stated that Brisor had his mother's permission to wed. Paulo Pabros, 40, Roman Catholic, native of Canada, resident of the Plaza of San Fernando. Maria Manuela stated that she had her parent's permission to wed. Witnesses: Pedro Romero,25, Espanol, Citizen of the Plaza of San Fernando. Juan Cristobal Sanchez, 30, Espanol, Citizen of the Plaza of San Fernando. On 11 may 1824, Father Bellido forwarded the proceedings to Durango. On 18 June Bishop Castaniza granted a dispensation for the fact that Brisor could not make declarations in the country of his origin and birth. He assigned as penance that the groom would recite a rosary of five mysteries every day for a week and attend mass on three feast days. He ordered the minister in Taos to publish the banns three times. Assuming no new impediment arose, he was to marry the couple and give them the nuptial blessings."
