About Jean Gordon
I think Jean Gordon married first George Sinclair 5th Earl of Caithness and when he died in 1643 she then married Alexander Gordon 12th Earl of Sutherland who had a son Robert Gordon who became the first Baron Gordonstoun when he bought it from the 2nd Marquis of Huntly. in 1638.
