About Jean Leroux
Jean LeRoux was born on September 25, 1940 and grew up on a working farm in Hamel, Minnesota with his parents Roy and Louise and his four older siblings. He attended the University of Minnesota and went through the ROTC program, going on active duty in the Army after graduation. He moved to Vancouver in 1967. He is survived by children Lisa and Andy and has two amazing grandsons, as well as his former wife Kate LeRoux. Jean worked in the insurance industry for 30+ year and also loved serving the community as a proud Jaycee, Kiwanian, and board member for the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children's Cancer Program (KDCCP). He was passionate about sports, as a long-time coach that always preached positivity and team work, and as a softball player who was still pitching into his 60s. Jean had a debilitating stroke 15 years ago that impacted him greatly, but never dampened his indelible spirit. Jean died on September 29, 2018. A celebration of life will be held on November 10, 2018 at Warehouse '23 in Vancouver, WA from 2-4pm.
