GEDCOM Note
Family historian Effemey Wall Blair in a 1924 letter states that Jean Wallace was born probably 1731 or 1732, came with her parents to America. She left no will, the York Co. Register of Wills stated, but letters of administration were issued on the estate of "Jane Martin" to her son, William Allison, Nov. 21, 1811. According the Guinston United Presbyterian Church Register 1772-1846:
Samuel Martin and Jean Allison alias Wallace married at Jean Allison's house on Dec 29, 1785 by Rev James Clarkson. Witness-Samuel Harper and Andrew Proudfoot.
