Jeanie/Jane/Jean Eccles Sloan

In 1911 James Sloan 50 years and his wife Agnes 47 years are living on a farm in Kirkpatrick Fleming Dumfriesshire. They have children Jeanie E. 14 years, Bessie S. 10 years, Robert 9 years and Agnes M.C.B. 7 years. John Blair his father in law is resident in the house and is 91 years of age. James Cowan a son (?) and James Blair 43 years a visitor. James and agnes have been married 15 years and have had 4 children all surviving.

I have searched but not easily found her on Scotland's People. I have searched all marriages for Jane Sloan and she is not there. She may have been called Jeanie and I have not checked all of those records. I have looked for a death record and again she is not readily found. I have searched death records on Scotland's People as Jane, Jeanie, Jeannie and Jean Sloan. She appears to have dropped the Eccles part of her name making it dificult to find her. I have finally identified a marriage record for her as Jean Eccles Sloan to Robert Jack Fleming in 1928. I am still not able to identify a death record for her or him on Scotlands people which means they may have emigrated.

I have located her husbands death and probate records. They were living in Cheltenham Gloucestershire in 1958. (Aug 2018)
