Born January 31, 1934. Died peacefully October 26, 2005 at home surrounded by her family. Adopted at age 1 by loving parents, Dr. Robert and Esther Lang. Raised in Austin, MN and upon graduation from the College of St. Catherine began teaching in St. Paul. Married David W. Thomas in 1956 and began her favorite career as wife and mother to 5 children. Subsequently she worked as Activities Director at Sholom Home, managed the dining room at Pasquales Restaurant at Rosedale for 15 years, and retired to Rainbow Foods where she worked as a cashier until 2 months ago. She loved every job she ever had, she received great satisfaction by adding sunshine to those she worked with and served. Jeanne is survived by her husband, David; sons, Robert (Cyndi), Timothy (Geri) and Michael (Susan); daughter, Jeanne Rylander (Don) and Lisa Arcand (Michael); brother, Jon Lang (Katie); sisters-in-law, Rose Scwietz and Joan Grun (Bill); 17 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and people that loved her. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 AM at HOLY CHILDHOOD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1435 Midway Pkwy. Visitation Thursday (TODAY) 5-8 PM at the ROSEVILLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2245 N. Hamline Ave (651-631-2727) and one hour prior to the Mass at church on Friday. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Friends of LaRoca, or your favorite charity.
