About Jencks Waite
If MyHeritage is correct, then Benjamin Waite may be his father. Benjamin supposedly died in New Britain, New York (not CT) when Jencks was 3 although his profile on FamilySearch shows his youngest child being born in 1796.*

This book was used as a source although I don't see Jenks or his parents. I think there's another book by this name with a different author.

This history of Haldimand Township, in Northumberland County, Ontario lists Jinks Wait and Isaac Wait (brothers?) as early settlers.

While searching for Jenks' father, I found this other Benjamin Wait. Its possible this could be his son Benjamin although the birth year is off by a few years and the biography says his father moved from the wrong state (VT, instead of RI). http://www.biographi.ca/en/bio/wait_benjamin_12E.html
Here are a list of Land Petitioners in Haldermand, Ontario in 1797. There are 4 Waits, George, Isaac Jenks, and Benjamin. I believe George Waite is his uncle and Isaac is his brother. - FURTHER NOTE. I've changed Jenck's birthplace to Columbia County, NY. New Britain, NY is a "historical" place which no longer exists as a distinct town or village but it makes much more sense than CT.
