Biography

Jeremiah was born in 1728, the son of Jeremiah Allen and Lydia Tuck of Manchester, Essex, Massachusetts[1]

On 17 June 1748, Jeremiah married Eunice Gardner, the daughter of Thomas Gardner and Eunice Waters of Salem, Essex, Massachusetts[2], and they had children, including:

Jeremiah, born April 6, 1749[1], who married Hannah Ring, daughter of George Ring on January 14, 1773[3]
Eunice, born April 27, 1751[4], who married David Pearl[3]
Abigail, born July 23, 1753[5], who married Comfort Haley, son of Ebenezer on July 21, 1777[3]
James, born December 7, 1755[1], who married Margaret Morrison on May 6, 1784[3]
Daniel, born March 15, 1758[6], who married Lois Durkee, daughter of Phineas on March 5, 1780[3]
Oliver, born May 3, 1760[7], who died February 1765[8][3]
Nathaniel, who was baptized September 28,1763[9], who married Sarah Robbins daughter of James on February 28, 1782, and who died December 27, 1843[3]
Susanna, who married Seth Tinkham son of Edward[3]
In 1766 Jeremiah Allen moved his family from Massachusetts to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia [3] [10] [11]

He passed away after 1766. The Yarmouth genealogy notes that Jeremiah Allen died June 5, 1794, but it is not known if this is the father or his son.
