Note ~~ It is not known the exact birth and death dates of Jeremiah (Bazil) Brashears. I'm adding his name to Find A Grave to refute the misinformation that is on the Internet. His father was Bazil b.1714

This Jeremiah was the progenitor of the Beshears families who moved to Christian Co, Kentucky, about the same times as Ithra Brashears Sr (his nephew).

His father Bazil (a boozer; got very careless with his finance), was not very successful at any of these, for he went broke three times, and to courts a multiple times. Caused his family a great deal of embarrassment, and they fled. Quite possible changed the spelling of their surname in the process, possibly to avoid being held responsible for Basil's debts. Hypothetical sons, Basil, Isaac, and Robert, seem to have followed their cousin to middle Tennessee. Between 1780 and 1830 many hopped from one state to another. Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana.
