Jeremiah was taken prisoner at the capitulation of "Fort William Henry" (1757), and carried to Canada, but escaped and returned to Hing. "Blacksmith." Was constable 1777 to 1782 inc. and again in 1784. He also held the commission of lieutenant. Resided on South, near West St., but late in life sold his homestead to Dr. Levi Lincoln, and removed with his fam. to Lunenburg, Mass.
