Jerusha Chester

Daughter of Thomas Starr. Baptized 7 August 1737 at First Congregational Church in Groton, New London County, Connecticut. Admitted to full communion on 7 October 1757. Married Benajah Chester in 1755. Died 18 August 1760.

With Benajah Chester, she had three children:

1. Nicholas Chester - unmarried
2. Starr Chester - m. Mary Morgan
3. Jerusha Chester - m. James Dennison

Gravestone reads:

In Memory of Jerusha
ye wife of Mr. Benajah Chester
who died August ye 18th. A.D. 1760
Aged 23 Years

Note: NOT the Jerusha, daughter of Thomas, who was baptized 13 November 1764.

Note: NOT the Jerusha Starr who married Levi Peck.
