    • "Jerusha Webster was the second daughter of Noah Webster Sr. and Mercy Steele of Hartford, Connecticut. She was the oldest sister to Noah Webster the Lithographer and writer of the English Dictionary. Jerusha at age 22 married on the 12th November in 1778 to Joel Lord of Salisbury, Litchfield, Connecticut. She had three Children: Chester Webster Lord B: 13 July 1785 D: 12 March 1864, Jerusha Lord B: 11 Jan 1790-D:14 May 1857, Harley Lord B:25 Jan. 1792- D: 28 Apr. 1862 my ancestor. Jerusha was 65 years old at the time of her death, and is buried next to her husband.
